For PS5®/PC STRIKEPACK HORIZON VISTA™ gaming adapter
This section provides instructions for connecting your PS5®/PC STRIKEPACK HORIZON VISTA™ for DualSense® to your PlayStation®5 console. Your Strike Pack will need to be updated to firmware version 1.1.24 or higher. Please update then follow the video guide or written guide.
Depending on where and when you purchased your PS5®/PC STRIKEPACK HORIZON VISTA™ for DualSense®, it may be running a firmware version older than 1.1.24. If so, a firmware update will be required to enable PlayStation®5 support.
Once you complete this simple pairing process, your PS5®/PC STRIKEPACK HORIZON VISTA™ for DualSense® will function seamlessly with your PlayStation®5 console.
Navigate to Settings → Accessories → Controller (General) → Communication Method, and set to Use USB Cable. This setting is required to use the Strike Pack, which is a wired only device.
Once detected, the Strike Pack LEDs will turn White. Your Strike Pack should be paired for use on your PS5® console and ready to use from this point onwards. No need to repeat these steps. Just plug in and play next time. Happy gaming!
If your controller is unresponsive after Step 4, this is just a one-time timeout issue. To resolve this, simply unplug the cable from your Strike Pack—enabled controller and plug it back in.
This update separates PC Gaming Mode.
We are aware of the mapped Paddle Button sticking issue, and polling issue, with PC use. We are working on a new firmware.
Standard DualSense® required for use.
PS5®/PC Strike Pack Horizon Vista is NOT compatible with DualSense® Edge.
Issues During Step 3 of the Connection Instructions:
Strike Pack LEDs Stuck on Green:
Ensure your PS5® console’s Bluetooth® is On, and Communication Method is set to Use USB Cable.
If you're using a different cable, ensure it supports data transfer.
Ensure your controller is updated.
Try another controller if you have one.
Try restarting your console (full power cycle)
Strike Pack Skips Pulsing Red LED Pairing and Goes Straight to White:
This is normal if you’ve previously successfully completed the Connection Instructions setup to pair your Strike Pack—enabled controller, the app, and your PS5® console together. The experience should now be plug and play with your PS5®.
If this is not the case, ensure your firmware is version 1.1.24 or higher, and retry the Connection Instructions.
Issues During Step 4 of the Connection Instructions:
App Not Detecting the Strike Pack or the LEDs Remain Pulsing Red:
To finalize setup, while your Strike Pack—enabled controller is plugged into your PS5® console, it must be connected through the STRIKEPACK CENTRAL™ app at least once. The Strike Pack LEDs must be allowed to complete their initial journey from Pulsing Red to White.
Even after the Strike Pack has been detected by the app and you've accepted the connection, it may take up to 60 seconds—or longer—for the Strike Pack LEDs to change from Pulsing Red to White. During this time, the app will be attempting to connect through the internet to finalize setup...
To be clear, setup is incomplete until the LEDs turn White.
If this does not occur, and the LEDs are still Pulsing Red several minutes later:
Close the app regardless.
Ensure Bluetooth®, Location Services, and Internet are enabled on your device.
Check the app store for updates to STRIKEPACK CENTRAL™.
Check your phone or tablet for its own software updates.
Your router/modem may be obstructing the app from making a connection, or you may simply have a poor connection. This can likely be ruled out by disabling Wi-Fi on your device, and connecting through Mobile Data only. If this doesn't yield success, you can later try the reverse, i.e. Wi-Fi only with Mobile Data disabled. Also be aware of any software on your device that may restrict your connection.
If you didn't allow all permissions when you first started STRIKEPACK CENTRAL™, you are going to have to go into your device settings to allow them.
Restart your phone or tablet, i.e. fully power it off and back on. Avoid running background apps for now.
Restart your PS5® console i.e. do a full power cycle, don't just rest mode it.
Unplug the cable from your Strike Pack—enabled controller, and plug it back in. Remember, it must be plugged into your PS5® console.
When the Strike Pack LEDs are Pulsing Red, start up the app and try again.
App malfunction is possible but reinstalling the app should be a last resort, as it will erase all settings and profiles. If you've been exporting (backing up) your profiles, you’ll be able to import them afterwards. Otherwise, they will be lost.
Controller Unresponsive After Step 4: This is a one-time timeout issue that may occur if you or the app took a long time finalizing setup. Provided the Strike Pack LEDs are White, everything is setup! Simply unplug the cable from your Strike Pack—enabled controller and plug it back in. It will be plug and play from this point onwards.
Time Out:
If your Strike Pack—enabled controller is consistently "disconnecting" at similar intervals, i.e. every 5 minutes, you are likely being timed out by your PS5® console. The pairing process with the app was either not completed, or the process was somehow unsuccessful. Please retry the Connection Instructions.
If your Strike Pack—enabled controller is seemingly disconnecting at random intervals, try restarting your PS5® console i.e. do a full power cycle, don't just rest mode it.
Other:
Random Disconnecting, Vibration, Microphone, Audio Issues:
We are investigating claims of random "disconnecting", sudden weak vibration, microphone static issues, and controller audio dropping.
If you experience audio drop, try adjusting your PS5® console's system level volume control up or down to restore audio.
We working on a new firmware, and investigating possible solutions.
Although this is yet to be verified, some customers have reported success with high quality 100W USB cables, such as Anker™.
Try restarting your console (full power cycle).
PC Gaming Mode Issues:
We are aware of the mapped Paddle Button sticking issue that is exclusive to PC use. We are working on a new firmware.
We are aware of the polling issue on PC. We are trying to revise it for the new firmware.
Previous Firmware:
App support for the previous firmware version 1.1.12 has been reinstated. This version does not support the PS5® the same way that firmware version 1.1.24 does, but those of you familiar with 1.1.12 will know what to do.

First, open a compatible browser, such as Google® Chrome, on a non-iOS™ device, like a PC, Mac®, Chromebook™, or Android™ phone or tablet. Then visit the Web Update Tool at https://firmware.modcentral.ca
You’ll need to plug your Strike Pack into the device you’re using to update it. If the Strike Pack is already attached to your controller, simply hold Paddle Buttons 1 & 3 together while you plug it in.
Now select the on-screen Connect button. Select your Strike Pack from the list that pops up, and then Connect from there.
Check for New Firmware… then select the Latest firmware to start the update.
The Web Update Tool will begin Programming Device… Please Wait.
Once the update is complete, if you wait a moment… the Device Info will reappear, confirming your Strike Pack is running the latest firmware version. Congratulations, you can now unplug the Strike Pack!
First, power on your PS5® console.
Attach the Strike Pack to a standard DualSense® controller, and ensure the controller is off at this point. If it is on, simply hold the PS button until the controller turns off.
Plug your Strike Pack—enabled controller into your console, but please ensure you are not holding the Touchpad when you do so. Within a moment, the Strike Pack LEDs will turn Pulsing Red. It is now awaiting pairing.
Open the STRIKEPACK CENTRAL™ app on your phone or tablet. If asked, allow all permissions. The app will automatically detect your Strike Pack, but this may take up to 60 seconds. When you are prompted to do so, tap CONNECT to accept.
To use on PC, hold the Touchpad button while plugging your Strike Pack—enabled controller into your PC, and keep holding until the Strike Pack LEDs turn White.
Keep your hands away from the Touchpad while plugging in your Strike Pack—enabled controller, or you will accidentally enter PC Gaming Mode.
Don't confuse stuck on Green with the mint that represents Primary Weapon in GAMEPACKs.
If you weren't even asked to connect, tap the Gear icon in the app. If a device is already connected, tap Forget Device. If no device was connected, it may be an issue with Bluetooth®.
If all other troubleshooting has failed, try resetting the pairing and retry the Connection Instructions. To reset the pairing, on the right side of your Strike Pack—enabled controller, while holding Paddle Buttons 4 & 2 along with the pill-shaped button above them (three buttons total), plug your Strike Pack—enabled controller into your PS5® console. After about 5 seconds, release the buttons. This allows you to start all over again.
