USB

In this guide, we will provide you with step-by-step instructions on how to setup your console and controller with USB.

Matched (USB)

For those looking for a hassle-free experience, the MATCHED (USB) setup is by far the easiest. Swift and straightforward, it flawlessly pairs with PlayStation®4, Xbox®, and Nintendo Switch® consoles, as well as their respective controllers. 🎮 👌

Xbox Series X|S® Controller to an Xbox Series X®

1

Connect Cronus Zen 2.2.12 to a computer running Windows (PROG USB Port).

PS5: You will need to follow this different guide. 👈

PS4: Open Zen Studio > Device Panel > Set the output protocol to PLAYSTATION5/4.

XBOX: Open Zen Studio > Device Panel > Set the output protocol to XBOX ONE X/S.

SWITCH: Open Zen Studio > Device Panel > Set the output protocol to NINTENDO SWITCH. (See the Nintendo Switch® page for more settings).

2

Connect your Cronus Zen to your console using the CONSOLE/PC USB cable (the short USB cable is recommended). For this MATCHED example, we're using the Xbox Series X® console and an Xbox Series X|S® Controller.

3

Plug your controller into Zen's A1 USB port. After a few seconds the controller should power up and sync to the Cronus Zen.

Note: Having trouble syncing? Simply unplug the controller from the A1 port, tap Zen's reset button, wait 5 seconds 🕐, then plug it back in.

4

Before using any Gamepacks or scripts, it is important that you first test your controller in a game to make sure all the buttons are working correctly.

Crossover (USB)

The CROSSOVER setup supports PlayStation®, Xbox®, and Nintendo® Switch consoles. Just remember this simple rule: With CROSSOVER, the controller that matches your console (or AUTH controller) goes into A1. The controller you actually want to play with, that goes into A3. 👌

PS5® DualSense™ to Xbox Series X|S®

2

Plug your Cronus Zen into a console using the CONSOLE/PC USB port. For this CROSSOVER example, we're using the Xbox Series X® console and a PS5® DualSense™ Controller.

3

Connect the Xbox® controller to Zen's A1 USB port. It must always be connected while the CROSSOVER controller is in use. We call this the AUTH controller.

4

Connect the CROSSOVER controller to the A3 USB port.

Note: Having trouble syncing? Simply unplug the controllers from the A1 & A3 USB ports, tap Zen's reset button, wait 10 seconds 🕐, then plug them back in.

5

Before using any Gamepacks or scripts, it is important that you first test your controller in a game to make sure that your Zen is properly setup with your controller.
