While SPRINTING, HOLD CROUCH to slide, then RELEASE CROUCH to cancel your slide. Throw off your opponent's aim and get back into the fight quickly.
Slide Cancel REQUIRES the "SLIDE/DIVE BEHAVIOR: SLIDE ONLY" in-game setting. You will have to choose between it and Dive M.O.D.s which require a different behavior.
