This section does not apply to PS3® or Xbox® consoles which use a generic wheel protocol.
Once your Drive Hub firmware is updated to its most recent firmware, it offers various compatibility modes for Fanatec® & Logitech® users on PlayStation®4/5 consoles:
For Fanatec® wheels only: FanaLogic mode emulates a G29 wheel. You will know when an older PS4® game, e.g. GT Sport, needs FanaLogic mode because your wheel will not work! This mode is less desirable as it limits the features of your Fanatec® wheel. When switching to FanaLogic mode, it will show "LLL" or "L" on the wheel rim's display.
As conversion scaling can never be 1:1, it is normal to expect differences in feel when emulating another wheel.
For Logitech® wheels only: In Logitech® mode, Drive Hub will treat your Logitech® wheel as a Logitech® wheel, which means NO handbrake support on PS4/5®. This is the default setting for Logitech®. When switching to Logitech® mode, it will show an "LLL" on Drive Hub's digital display.
For Logitech® wheels only: LogiFan mode emulates a CSL PS4® wheel. This mode is needed to add handbrake support to your Logitech® wheel on PS4/5®. When switching to LogiFan® mode, it will show an "FFF" on Drive Hub's digital display.
As conversion scaling can never be 1:1, it is normal to expect differences in feel when emulating another wheel.
If you do not have any of these buttons on your wheel, you will have to figure out where the SHARE (CREATE) & OPTIONS buttons have been mapped.
It was initially allowed for game developers to dictate compatibility in their PS4® racing games, a privilege that was rescinded in 2016 fragmenting Fanatec® wheel support. Drive Hub restores this compatibility for newer native Fanatec® wheels with the added benefit of using its "Accessory" port with other brand pedals, shifters, handbrakes, etc. To use Direct Drive on PS4/5®, connect your native PS4/5® Fanatec® wheel to the "Controller" port on Drive Hub; NO authentication controller required!
This feature is for all Logitech® G Pro wheel users. It is possible to use Drive Hub to overcome the "safety" cap and experience 11 Nm of force in GT7. First, ensure everything is working correctly at the capped 7-8 Nm, then follow the steps below:
You will need to repeat these steps each time you turn on the PS4/5® or wake it from rest mode.
For Fanatec® wheels only: In Fanatec® mode, Drive Hub supports native Fanatec® protocols. Upon first connection, PRESS the P1 button to the left of Drive Hub's Gearhead Eyes, as this will automatically reboot into Fanatec® mode, and it will save & remember to use this mode from now on. This optimal mode will work with newer PS4/5® games on the Compatibility List. When switching to Fanatec® mode, it will show "FFF" or "F" on the wheel rim's display.
To toggle between Fanatec® & FanaLogic modes on a Fanatec® wheel, or Logitech® & LogiFan® modes on a Logitech® wheel, HOLD the appropriate buttons together on your wheel (below) for 3 seconds:
PS4 / PS5® wheels.
Xbox One® / Xbox Series X|S® wheels.
Xbox 360® wheels.
Fanatec® Porsche GT2 wheel special provision: Given this wheel has the start & back buttons on a rocker switch, you can HOLD START & LEFT D-PAD together for 3 seconds to switch to Fanatec® mode.
PRESS the PS button on the wheel to avoid accidentally pressing buttons in the game.
Press & HOLD both WHEEL DIAL CENTER buttons together (pictured above) until you see two Drive Hub RPM LEDs. One LED will appear at first. ONLY RELEASE when two LEDs appear:
TURN the LEFT WHEEL DIAL to change the amount of LEDs on Drive Hub's RPM LED gauge. One LED = 10% increase over the cap. Five LEDs (fifth LED is red) will provide you with the full 11 Nm:
Once you have selected the amount of increase you want, press & HOLD both WHEEL DIAL CENTER buttons together again until the RPM LEDs turn off.
