Drive Hub has been around for a long time; it will ship with an ancient firmware that will do you no good. Before you get started, please update Drive Hub to its latest beta firmware!! This is mandatory for full functionality, as the Compatibility List is aligned with the newest possible firmware, and your setup may not even work without it.
First, connect the supplied Micro USB cable to Drive Hub's "Console" port.
You will need a few minutes of access to a modern computer such as PC, Mac, or Chromebook. Technically, you can also use an Android device, but you will need to source a different cable or adapter for that.
The Gearhead Eyes will start flashing, indicating Firmware Update mode.
Open Google® Chrome browser, and navigate to the Web Updater at firmware.modcentral.ca
If you use another browser, that is fine; just be aware the Web Updater will not work in certain browsers such as Safari, so we recommend Chrome.
Select "Previous Firmware" (we are aware of how that sounds), then select the latest beta firmware from the list (scroll to the bottom), and proceed to install it.
Our Drive Hub team releases stable betas more often, and the only time you should select "Latest Release" instead, is if it has a higher version number than the latest beta.
You may also need to update your wheel firmware to get everything working. It is advised to not go out of your way to update your wheel firmware once it is working well with Drive Hub.
Choose your next destination:
(pass through a wheel to its supported console)
(convert a wheel to another console)
(use a wheel to play PS3® GT5/6)
While HOLDING the P2 button to the right of Drive Hub's Gearhead, connect the other cable end to your computer, wait a few seconds, then RELEASE P2.
After this update, you will be able to enter Firmware Update mode in the future by just PRESSING the P2 button. You will also gain the cable wear reducing friendly ability to reboot the Drive Hub by PRESSING the P1 button.
