Weapon Swap | Advanced Shooter

For STRIKEPACK™ with M.O.D.|PASS™.

"Weapon Swap" (also known as Advanced Profile System) is a feature of Advanced Shooter GAMEPACK! It concerns using "Weapon Slots" (Profiles) to manage different Weapon M.O.D.s (Macros On Demand), Anti-Recoil, Additional M.O.D.s, and Settings for your in-game weapons.

Page Contents

Before you can utilize the powerful Weapon M.O.D. customization options available, such as per Weapon Slot Fire Modes, Anti-Recoil Quick Edit Adjustments, and Additional M.O.D.s, you will need to become familiar with the Weapon Slot system itself.

As an older M.O.D.|PASS™ GAMEPACK, Advanced Shooter's implementation differs from modern Weapon Swap. It consists of three Weapon Slots/Profiles in the M.O.D. CENTRAL™ GAMEPACK Configuration. "Profile 1 & 2" are designed for a Primary & Secondary Weapon pairing, whereas "Profile 3" is designed for a Weapon 3 / Third Weapon. Depending on your "Profile Switch Mode" setting, "Profile 1" may also be shared for a Weapon 4 / Fourth Weapon.

Only the ACTIVE Weapon Slot will affect your controls. Being aware of which slot is active prevents you from unintentionally firing a weapon with the wrong Weapon M.O.D.s applied.

Profile Switch Mode

"Profile Switch Mode" is a GAMEPACK Config setting, similar to the modern "Weapon Swap Mode" setting. By default, "Profile Switch Mode" is set to "Manual". In this mode, you will ONLY be able to manually swap between the three Weapon Slots/Profiles. If you want the full feature set with "Switch Weapon" button tracking, you will need to choose the most appropriate option for your game's weapon system. At the time, our team included as many as we could think of. Hopefully one works for you, otherwise just use "Manual".

Swap Between Slots

The following implementation is unique to Advanced Shooter GAMEPACK:

(Profile 1)

(Profile 2)

(Profile 3)

(Blocks Profile M.O.D.s)

If Advanced Shooter is saved to F Slot (M.O.D. Mode), it indicates via the STRIKEPACK™ LEDs: Bright 1&2 = Profile 1, Bright 3&4 = Profile 2, Bright 4&6 = Profile 3, 6 Dim = Blocks Profile M.O.D.s.

When "Profile Switch Mode" has been set to an appropriate "Weapon Swap" option, your "Switch Weapon" button presses will be tracked, and Weapon Swap will automatically swap between slots. When synchronized, you will seamlessly switch between your weapons and their associated Weapon M.O.D.s, Anti-Recoil, and Additional M.O.D.s even during a firefight.

Tip - To reduce the frequency of desynchronization, thoroughly check your game for any in-game settings you can turn off that would otherwise automatically switch your weapon, such as behavior concerning ammunition depletion.

M.O.D. Toggle

All M.O.D.s affect your controls indiscriminately and they CANNOT know what is currently happening in your gameplay. Games often contextually reuse buttons. Menus can be affected, your ability that requires you to hold a button may fail to function because a M.O.D. is rapidly pressing that button, and so on. You can suspend all Controller M.O.D.s to take a break from them (Paddle Button M.O.D.s will be unaffected):

  • Heavy Rumble: Controller M.O.D.s Suspended

  • Light Rumble: Controller M.O.D.s Resumed
