STEP 0: Getting Started

You will start in this GAMEPACK's "Normal Mode" which is to set up normal timings for when you are NOT pitching out of the stretch, or NOT with runners on base. You will later need to repeat the following STEPS to create separate timings for "On Base Mode" or "Changed Form On Base Mode".

STEP 1: Perfect Pitch Mode

Once you are ready to pitch, HOLD RIGHT TRIGGER/ to enter & stay in "Perfect Pitch Mode".

STEP 2: Pitcher Select

You can set up one to four pitchers! In "Perfect Pitch Mode", TAP /LEFT TRIGGER to cycle between them:

STEP 3: Pitch Type

For each pitcher, your game assigns different pitch types to each of the pitching buttons, which can include the four face buttons and right bumper/shoulder.

You MUST MATCH this GAMEPACK accordingly. In "Perfect Pitch Mode", while HOLDING one of the five PITCHING BUTTONS, TAP /DOWN D-PAD, or /UP D-PAD, to navigate through & change its pitch type:

Expand Pitch Type List!

- No Pitch

- Changeup

- Circle Change

- Curveball

- Cutter

- Four Seam

- Knuckle Curve

- Screwball

- Sinker

- Slider Fast

- Slider Slow

- Splitter

- Sweeping Curve

- Twelve Six Curve

- Two Seam

It is recommended to set up all available pitching buttons for your current pitcher before continuing...

STEP 4: Pitch Timing

It is time to set up the pitch timing for the "Perfect Pitch"! In "Perfect Pitch Mode", TAP the corresponding PITCHING BUTTON you wish to set up, and then again to perform the pitch.

The pitch will have 100% accuracy, but the timing may be off. It should be an early timing! If it is a late timing, you will need to reset & try again. To reset, while HOLDING the PITCHING BUTTON, TAP XB: MENU or PS: OPTIONS. Then try again. Assuming all went well and the game reported an early timing, take note of its three digit (0.00) value.

You MUST MATCH this early timing value in the GAMEPACK. In "Perfect Pitch Mode", while HOLDING the same PITCHING BUTTON you held in STEP 3, you can adjust its pitch timing. For example, if your pitch was 2.11s early, that is the value you will need to adjust it to:

To adjust the first digit, TAP RIGHT D-PAD/ to raise the value, or TAP /LEFT D-PAD to lower the value. The left 4 LEDs are used to represent the first digit from 0-4.

To adjust the second digit, FLICK LEFT STICK to the RIGHT to raise the value, or FLICK LEFT STICK to the LEFT to lower the value. LEDs 5 & 6 can flash up to 9 times to represent the second digit from 0-9. TAP XB: VIEW or PS: TOUCH to check the flashes again.

To adjust the third digit, FLICK RIGHT STICK to the RIGHT to raise the value, or FLICK RIGHT STICK to the LEFT to lower the value. LEDs 7 & 8 can flash up to 9 times to represent the third digit from 0-9. TAP XB: VIEW or PS: TOUCH to check the flashes again.

Expand Timing Examples

Here are three examples to help you to grasp the concept:

If you were early by 1.15 seconds, it would need to be set to LED 1 for 1 second, then LEDs 5 & 6 would need to flash flash once, and LEDs 7 & 8 would need to flash five times. This represents 1.15 seconds.

If you were early by 2.09 seconds, it would need to be set to LED 2 for 2 seconds, then LEDs 5 & 6 would need to NOT flash, and LEDs 7 & 8 would need to flash nine times. This represents 2.09 seconds.

If you were early by 0.80 seconds, it would need to be set to NO LEDs on the left side for 0 seconds, then LEDs 5 & 6 would need to flash eight times, and LEDs 7 & 8 would need to NOT flash. This represents 0.80 seconds.

Once you have finished setting up the timing, RELEASE the PITCHING BUTTON, and then you are ready to release the "Perfect Pitch". Just remember to stay in "Perfect Pitch Mode" and you are ready for that no-hitter!

On Base Mode

When you are pitching out of the stretch, or with runners on base, the timing for "Perfect Pitch" will be different, and you will need to create a separate timing in "On Base Mode". In "Perfect Pitch Mode", PRESS /LEFT STICK to switch between "Normal Mode" and "On Base Mode". In this mode, you will feel a continuously pulsing rumble. You can now set up separate timing in this mode by following the previous STEPS.

Changed Form On Base Mode

For certain pitchers, their form will change when throwing with runners on base. In this case, while in "Perfect Pitch Mode", PRESS RIGHT STICK/ to switch between "Normal Mode" and "Changed Form On Base Mode". In this mode, you will feel a continuously double pulsing rumble. You can now set up separate timing in this mode by following the previous STEPS.

Easy Base Throw

When "Perfect Pitch" setup is completed, you can easily base throw without having to deal with timing the in-game meter. In "Perfect Pitch Mode", once you have selected your pitch, while HOLDING /LEFT BUMPER/SHOULDER, TAP the corresponding BASE BUTTON you want to throw to.
