Weapon AI

For STRIKEPACK™ with M.O.D.|PASS™.

"Weapon AI" provides a Controller Shortcut where with some in-game preparation, you can activate a quick detection sequence for your in-game weapon, automatically assigning the detected Supported Weapon (Optimized Weapon) to the ACTIVE Weapon Slot in the process.

This section applies to Modern GAMEPACKs with the latest implementation of Weapon AI. If a GAMEPACK uses an older implementation, follow the specific instructions in its manual instead.

While Weapon AI can be super convenient, our team has mostly moved away from including it in newer GAMEPACKs due to the following caveats:

Weapon AI is only viable in games with enough indication to clearly identify/detect/tell weapons apart. It is most commonly used in Apex. It is usually unavailable in other GAMEPACKs, and you will have to preplan your Weapon Slots in the M.O.D. CENTRAL™ GAMEPACK Configuration.

Weapon AI Requirements

Weapon AI REQUIRES Controller Vibration to remain ON, both in-game and console system-wide. Otherwise, it will fail to function. Modern GAMEPACK's include a built-in "Block Rumble" under Global M.O.D.s in the M.O.D. CENTRAL™ GAMEPACK Config.

During detection, Weapon AI has to quickly fire your weapon, which obviously makes noise, potentially revealing your position. It is quick to detect your weapon but easily disrupted. It is UNWISE to activate anywhere near combat, interactive objects, or sources of rumble, other than your weapon.

During detection, Weapon AI may tap your Reload button, expecting a reload attempt. You CANNOT be on your last magazine; there needs to be at least one available reload. If your game includes a "hold" to reload setting, it MUST be set to "tap" instead, unless "hold" is otherwise supported as an ORANGE "MATCH IN-GAME" setting in the GAMEPACK Config.

Weapon AI Detection

If the GAMEPACK is using Automatic or Hybrid, simply follow the steps below to synchronize:

The sequence will finish as soon as Weapon AI detects your weapon. This may be immediately after it fires, or if needed, after it checks your weapon’s reload. If all went well, you will feel a heavy rumble, and the ACTIVE Weapon Slot will successfully assign the Supported Weapon (Optimized Weapon) matching your current in-game weapon.

If Weapon AI is just unable to identify your weapon, it will automatically assign Regular Fire, and you should feel a light rumble, but it is also possible for it to detect as the wrong weapon. If you suspect the latter, check the GAMEPACK Config to confirm the Weapon Slot assignment.
