Quick Edit Anti-Recoil

For STRIKEPACK™ with M.O.D.|PASS™.

"Anti-Recoil" is a M.O.D. (Macro On Demand) that when adjusted correctly for your current weapon, slightly "pulls" at your aim/camera stick to reduce the effect of recoil.

"Quick Edit" allows for "Anti-Recoil Adjustments" during play. You can test-fire & fine-tune Anti-Recoil using your controller, observing your results in real-time. You can apply Anti-Recoil from scratch to most GENERIC: Fire Modes, and for any game-specific GAMEPACKs that include Supported Weapons (Optimized Weapons), you can fine-tune the Optimized Anti-Recoil to correct for recoil differences from Weapon Attachments, Variant Weapons, Game Updates, Unsupported Settings, etc.

Page Contents

This section applies to Modern GAMEPACKs and a select few older GAMEPACKs which have the latest implementation of Quick Edit. If a GAMEPACK uses an older implementation, follow the specific instructions in its manual instead.

Anti-Recoil NOT functioning?: If play with an "Inverted Y" in-game aim/camera or "Flipped" (bumpers/shoulders for your ADS & FIRE buttons), ensure this is reflected in the M.O.D. CENTRAL™ GAMEPACK Configuration ORANGE settings. The same goes for any "Sensitivity" settings. Anti-Recoil functionality is dependent on correctly MATCHED settings. If everything is in order and there was a recent GAMEPACK update, you may have to Factory Reset your STRIKEPACK™ to obtain the intended result.

1. Getting Started

Once you are in-game 🎮, position yourself and aim at a wall 🧱 or static target 🎯, ensuring you have plenty of ammunition and the room to compare recoil patterns. Switch to the in-game weapon 🔫 you will be using, such as your Primary Weapon. Ensure the Weapon Slot you intend to adjust is ACTIVE. You will need to be familiar with Weapon Swap at this point.

If the GAMEPACK is using Automatic or Hybrid, simply follow the steps below to synchronize:

2. Enter Quick Edit

Your controls will be restricted, but you will be afforded enough control to move around and test-fire your current weapon.

3. Directional

4. Vertical Adjust

It is wise to focus on Vertical Adjust first:

5. Horizontal Adjust

Horizontal Adjust CANNOT correct recoil that alternates between drifting your aim left & right. For such weapons, the setting should be kept at its default value of 0.

6. Reset Adjustments

If you find yourself getting in a mess while in Quick Edit, you can reset your adjustments for the ACTIVE Weapon Slot to default:

7. Acceptable Results

Focus on achieving acceptable results that maintain a mostly steady and level aim, as your weapon may have some randomized or side-to-side recoil, and that CANNOT be corrected:

Your results may also differ when firing at an actual enemy (or other assisted target dummy) due to "in-game" aim assist, which can cause your aim to slightly drift up and even to the side. You can try to compensate for this, and in certain GAMEPACKs you can try changing the Anti-Recoil Mode setting. In the future, our team is looking to implement a new solution for certain GAMEPACKs that will apply an Anti-Recoil Strength multiplier as the analog stick is being aimed.

8. Pattern Strength (Optional)

Game-specific GAMEPACKs often include Supported Weapons (Optimized Weapons). Depending on the weapon, it may have Optimized Anti-Recoil lovingly crafted by our team, which typically addresses significantly more of the weapon's actual recoil pattern. Explained in each GAMEPACK's "GAMEPACK Setup" section, these optimizations, when available, target "Known Requirements"; specific supported in-game settings and usually the base weapon without Weapon Attachments, or if mentioned, with specific Weapon Attachments. Beyond that, adjustments will likely be necessary.

Assuming the ACTIVE Weapon Slot is assigned to a Supported Weapon with Optimized Anti-Recoil, certain GAMEPACKs include a toggle to Pattern Strength Quick Edit. If available to use, this can be worth a try, especially if your results with Directional Quick Edit are less than acceptable.

Pattern Strength suits a weapon best when its recoil pattern has maintained its base shape; just shrunken or enlarged. This can be the case with certain Weapon Attachments and Unsupported Settings, or perhaps a game update has only made slight alterations to a weapon's recoil.

You can toggle the ACTIVE Weapon Slot between Directional & Pattern Strength via your controller while in Quick Edit. Be aware that Anti-Recoil values are NOT interchangeable between the two; toggling between them resets your current adjustments:

  • Rumble Pulses: Directional (default)

  • Rumble Bursts: Pattern Strength

Now, instead of applying a directional pull, you will be adjusting the strength of the Supported Weapon's Optimized Anti-Recoil Pattern.

Tip - If you just want to set ALL eight Weapon Slots to Pattern Strength, you can visit the GAMEPACK Config later, and set "Support Purposes Only" to "255".

Begin test-firing Anti-Recoil and pay attention to the vertical direction of your aim:

When you are done with vertical adjustment, you can tackle horizontal adjustment with trial & error:

8. Exit Quick Edit

At this point, you are hopefully done with fine-tuning the ACTIVE Weapon Slot's Anti-Recoil to your current in-game weapon. Feel free to repeat the process for another Weapon Slot and in-game weapon.
