GAMEPACK Setup | Apex Old
REQUIRED "GAMEPACK Setup" in M.O.D. CENTRAL™ for Apex Old GAMEPACK! Match the GAMEPACK Configuration to your in-game Button Layout, Legend Character, and Settings.
Known Requirements
The following in-game settings are known to be "REQUIRED" to ensure M.O.D.s function correctly:
Controller Vibration: On [In-Game & Console System-Wide]
Controller Vibration is required for features such as "Weapon AI" to function! You can block the feeling of in-game rumble in the M.O.D. CENTRAL™ "Remapper" section by checking "Disable Rumble" & "Mirror Advanced Settings".
[ADS] Sensitivity: 7 [Or Lower]
7 or lower is required for in-game aim assist, which the "Aim Assist" M.O.D. relies on!
Custom Look Controls: Off
Field Of View [FOV]: 70
Interact/Reload Button: Tap To Reload
Look Deadzone: Small
Per Optic ADS Sensitivity: On
1x - 10x Optic Sights: [ADS Sensitivity Values Must Be The Same]
Response Curve: Classic
Weapon Auto-Cycle On Empty: Off
Reduces Weapon Swap M.O.D. desynchronization with your game.
Apex Old GAMEPACK was originally optimized around the above "known" in-game settings, but as a discontinued Legacy GAMEPACK, it is no longer updated, tested, or maintained in line with updates to the game itself:
While Optimized Anti-Recoil for each weapon can be used as a base to get started, you will need to adjust further with the included older implementation of "Quick Edit", covered later on in this manual.
As before, adjust accordingly for Legendary Weapons & Weapon Attachments that alter recoil, such as higher than 1x Scopes.
Any weapons released after 2021.11.12 are unsupported! Try to discover the closest Optimized Anti-Recoil match in Supported Weapons, then adjust from there.
Any Legend characters released after 2021.11.12 are unsupported! Weapon Swap may become desynchronized more often with such characters. If you can, try matching the GAMEPACK to a Supported Legend with similar ability controls.
Weapon AI detection may no longer function as well or at all.
Match Settings
REQUIRED GAMEPACK Setup settings are located near the top of the M.O.D. CENTRAL™ GAMEPACK Config. Ensure ALL "MATCH IN-GAME" settings MATCH your in-game settings. Each setting will direct M.O.D.s (Macros On Demand) to the correct controller buttons, optimized for sensitivity levels that match your in-game settings.
Warning: DO NOT MISS any "MATCH IN-GAME" settings or risk an adversely affected experience. Settings ONLY cover supported in-game settings that are relevant to M.O.D.s. Ensure your settings remain MATCHED.
Unfortunately, it is NOT viable for our team to support every possible in-game configuration. Even supported in-game settings may not include all possible steps or options. Consider reviewing your in-game settings and avoid making console system-wide changes to your controls.
Featured Legend
To improve Weapon Swap button tracking and M.O.D. behaviors on Supported Legends, in the M.O.D. CENTRAL™ GAMEPACK Config, MATCH "Featured Legend" to your current "in-game" Legend character. If your Legend is unsupported, either ignore this setting, or if you experience issues, try changing it to a Legend with similar ability controls.
Unfortunately, the "Legend Selector" Controller Shortcut is no longer useful due to in-game menu changes (if you accidently activate it which is... while holding "Down D-Pad", you press "Menu" or "Options"... you will feel a low rumbling and you can confirm out of it with "A" or "Cross", but you will probably have to return to the GAMEPACK Config to fix your Legend selection).
Save Config & Slots
Remember to "Save Configuration" when you are done with GAMEPACK Setup or any other changing of GAMEPACK Config settings. Following this, "Save Slots to Device" to install the GAMEPACK to the STRIKEPACK™ device. This will also update all installed GAMEPACKs to their latest version.
