Weapon Swap | COD BO 18

For STRIKEPACK™ with M.O.D.|PASS™.

"Weapon Swap" (also known as "Profile Switch" here) is a feature of COD BO 18 GAMEPACK! It concerns using "Weapon Slots" (Profiles) to manage different Weapon M.O.D.s, Anti-Recoil, and Settings for your in-game weapons.

Before you can utilize the powerful Weapon M.O.D. customization options available, such as per Weapon Slot Anti-Recoil and Quick Edit Adjustments, you will need to become familiar with the Weapon Slot system itself.

As an early M.O.D.|PASS™ GAMEPACK, COD BO4 18's implementation differs from modern Weapon Swap. It consists of four Weapon Slots/Profiles in the M.O.D. CENTRAL™ GAMEPACK Configuration. "Profile 1 & 2" are designed for a Primary & Secondary Weapon pairing, whereas "Profile 3 & 4" are spare slots.

Only the ACTIVE Weapon Slot will affect your controls. Being aware of which slot is active prevents you from unintentionally firing a weapon with the wrong Weapon M.O.D.s applied.

Profile Switch Mode

"Profile Switch Mode" is a GAMEPACK Config setting, similar to the modern "Weapon Swap Mode" setting. By default, "Profile Switch Mode" is set to "Manual". In this mode, you will ONLY be able to manually swap between the four Weapon Slots/Profiles. If you want the full feature set with "Switch Weapon" button tracking:

  • For Xbox®, select "Weapon Swap".

  • For PlayStation®, select "Weapon Swap (PS4® Solid Lightbar)". Solid Lightbar will make better use of the PS4® Controller LED to help you determine which Weapon Slot is ACTIVE.

(Profile 4)

When "Profile Switch Mode" has been set to "Weapon Swap", and the Primary or Secondary Weapon Slot is ACTIVE, your "Switch Weapon" button presses will be tracked, and Weapon Swap will automatically swap between the two slots. When synchronized, you will seamlessly switch between your two weapons and their associated Weapon M.O.D.s and Anti-Recoil, even during a firefight. The Xbox® STRIKEPACK™ will briefly flash the left four WHITE LEDs when swapping to Primary, and the right four GREEN LEDs when swapping to the Secondary.

Tip - To reduce desync, turn off the in-game setting, "Weapon Auto-Cycle on Empty".

Button presses related to abilities/equipment "may" also be tracked, temporarily suspending M.O.D.s to prevent interference. The Featured Legend list that controls some of this functionality is no longer updated/maintained for this Legacy GAMEPACK.

M.O.D. Toggle

All M.O.D.s affect your controls indiscriminately and they CANNOT know what is currently happening in your gameplay. Games often contextually reuse buttons. Menus can be affected, your ability that requires you to hold a button may fail to function because a M.O.D. is rapidly pressing that button, and so on. You can suspend all Controller M.O.D.s to take a break from them (Paddle Button M.O.D.s will be unaffected):

  • Heavy Rumble: Controller M.O.D.s Suspended

  • Light Rumble: Controller M.O.D.s Resumed

  • To access your map/scoreboard, simply stop Aiming Down Sights.
