Triple Weapon Swap | Dstny 2

For STRIKEPACK™ with M.O.D.|PASS™.

"Triple Weapon Swap" is a feature of Dstny 2 GAMEPACK that works for both the sequel and the original game! It concerns managing different Weapon Fire Modes for your in-game weapons. To use it, "Triple Weapon Swap" MUST be "Enabled" in the M.O.D. CENTRAL™ GAMEPACK Configuration.

Page Contents

As an early M.O.D.|PASS™ GAMEPACK, Dstny 2's implementation has almost nothing in common with modern Weapon Swap. You can assign a Primary, Secondary (Special), and Third (Heavy) "Weapon Fire" in the M.O.D. CENTRAL™ GAMEPACK Configuration, but you can also change these modes up later during play via Controller Shortcuts.

Unlike modern implementations, Triple Weapon Swap ONLY manages Weapon Fire. Anti-Recoil is handled separately through four Anti-Recoil Profiles that you manually swap between, which will be covered later on in this manual.

Resynchronize - Dstny 2/1

Only the ACTIVE Weapon Fire (either Primary, Secondary, or Third) will affect your fire controls. You MUST avoid unintentionally firing a weapon with the wrong mode applied. Fortunately, the game is designed in such a way that Triple Weapon Swap basically self resynchronizes itself:

Tip - If Dstny 2 GAMEPACK is saved to F Slot (M.O.D. Mode), it will indicate the current position of Triple Weapon Swap via the STRIKEPACK™ LEDs. Follow the Bright LED from left to right; LED 1: Primary, LED 2: Secondary (Special), and LED 3: Third (Heavy/Power).

Rapid

Fire

Auto

Burst

Fire

Auto Burst Fire provides you with controlled bursts over your fire rate. It includes optimal "Burst Bundles" for Fully Automatic weapons: 900 RPM, 720 RPM, 600 RPM, and 450 RPM. You can see your weapon's RPM (Rounds Per Minute) in-game when hovering over it in the Character/Inventory screen. Pick the closest bundle to your weapon's RPM via the following Controller Shortcuts:

You can adjust the "Bullets Count" per burst in the GAMEPACK Config between roughly 5-10 bullets. You can also adjust this via your controller, covered later on in the Menu Navigation section of this manual.

Fusion

Charge

  • If for some reason, it is no longer timing correctly due to Game Updates, or to perform this trick with other Fusion Rifles, MATCH the "Fusion Charge Adjustable" timing in the GAMEPACK Config to roughly 50-100 milliseconds BEFORE the actual charge time. For example, a Fusion Rifle with a charge time of 720 should work well with a setting of 650 or 600. You can see your Fusion Rifle's charge time in-game when hovering over it in the Character / Inventory screen.
